BEMM RIVER

Sitting on the shoreline of Sydenham Inlet, Bemm River village is 441km east of Melbourne. Lying between the river, the inlet and the ocean, you can fish, bushwalk or 4WD in this idyllic location.

Turn off the highway south through the Bemm State Forest and border of Cape Conran Coastal Park. The road descends toward the coast & the river appears. Fed from larger rivers upstream in the north mountain ranges, Bemm River follows the road for part of the way. If you fish you will not be disappointed, as most facilities in town are geared for this. Accommodation, hotel, bait and tackle and boat hire are available. Amenities like jetties and boat ramps have been designed to accommodate high and low tide with a cleaning table to prepare your catch for a great evening meal!
