3 Peaks Challenge
Saturday, July 03, 2010 to Saturday, July 03, 2010
The 3 Peaks Challenge is Australia's ultimate one-day challenge ride for committed and regular riders. Riders, family and friends will visit Victoria's Alpine Region to enjoy the challenge and beauty of the terrain, and activities and attractions the region has to offer.
The new 230km route for the 3 Peaks Challenge starts and finishes at Falls Creek, circumnavigating Victoria's Alpine Region traversing Tawonga Gap, Mt Hotham, then back to Falls Creek via Omeo.
With four Ride Options available over this route, riders can choose between the ultimate challenge of riding all 230km, sharing the load with a friend by taking part in the relay, or enjoying the scenery and experiencing the uncharted climb up Falls Creek on the new Bogong High Plains Road with the 115km distances offered.
The inaugural 3 Peaks Challenge will take place on Sunday, March 7, 2010, staged on the Labour Day long weekend so riders can explore and enjoy the region with family and friends.
Falls Creek will host the event village for the weekend, while Dinner Plain will host the lunch stop, start and finish for some ride options and the relay changeover point.
It will cost $150 to ride the 230km distance and $120 for any of the 115km distances.
