ACTIVITIES IN THE GIPPSLAND LAKES REGION
Get your feet wet in the Gippsland Lakes region. Every type of watersport is available here, so why not try them all.
Surf fish on a deserted ocean beach with the waves lapping at your feet. Bring your own boat or hire one – spend a day or a week on the lakes, rivers or ocean. Play golf on courses with spectacular waterfront or waterview locations. Ride bikes on lake or riverfront boardwalks. Fly high above the water on a scenic flight or learn to kite sail. We’re surrounded by water…so go with the flow.
If you feel the need for speed then the Gippsland Lakes has dedicated areas for waterskiing behind a jet boat, or fast planing on a jet ski. And if you like a more relaxed pace, a quiet paddle on protected lake or river areas in a kayak or canoe is also available. Indulge in great food & wine. Cruise or snooze, bike or hike – the Gippsland Lakes is your water world.
