ACTIVITIES IN THE GREAT ALPINE ROAD REGION
From wildflower walks to down hill skiing, there is something for everyone in the Great Alpine Road region. Get your 4WD out of first gear and explore some of the most beautiful alpine areas in Australia.
Saddle up and gallop off into the sunset once the winter snows have melted. Lace up your hiking boots and follow the marked tracks through the Alpine National Park or State Forests. Tie a fly and cast a line for the beautiful rainbow or brown trout. The area is famous for this. Chat to a high altitude wine maker or olive grower and sample their wares. Cycle to great destinations or get an adrenalin rush on a mountain bike manoeuvring over bush trails. You will be high on life when you visit the Great Alpine Road region.
