This is the mecca for trout. There is no doubt when it comes to mountain streams, tying flies or spinning a lure that this Great Alpine Region is the top of the wish list for many anglers. You will be hooked!
The dancing of the fly-line in the air over fast flowing streams can be seen repeatedly at almost every river bend through this region. You can fish alone, with friends or with a tour group. But one thing is sure you will be lured by the location and triumph of the trout. Boating is possible in some of the alpine lakes with small boats or ‘tinnies’’. Canoes and kayaks are favoured in some streams, shooting the rapids or leisurely exploring the river banks.
