Stringybark Cottages of Sarsfield have won the Tourism and Accommodation Category of the Bendigo Bank Gippsland Business Awards. They are one of a number of East Gippsland Businesses that made it to the finals stage of the awards, which were supported by East Gippsland Shire’s economic development unit. The other East Gippsland finalists were Vegco for manufacturing and fabrication, Jayco Gippsland in the new business category and Lakes Entrance Waverley House Cottages, also in the tourism and accommodation category. Stringybark Cottages are located on 100 acres in the foothills of East Gippsland 19 kilometres from Bairnsdale on the Great Alpine Road and offer the tranquillity of an eco-friendly private retreat, surrounded by forest and farmland.
