East Gippsland acknowledges the Gunaikurnai, Monero and the Bidawel people as the Traditional Custodians of the land that encompasses East Gippsland Shire. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in East Gippsland, their Elders past and present.

Croajingolong National Park

Named after the Aboriginal people of the area, Croajingolong National Park meanders 100km along the far east coast of the state. Headlining eucalypt forests, rainforests, heathland, sand dunes and inlets, the area is secluded, remote and beautiful. Find a camping spot amongst the eastern shores of Sydenham Inlet, or relax by the lakes of Mallacoota. Climb high to Genoa Peak or venture to Point Hicks Lighthouse.
